When you arrive

Post-9/11.  Every image, every scrap of clothing, every TV snippet, every glance, taste, blush, bang, thought, smell, touch is NOW understood as something that can be used:  reprovisioned, retweeted, reblogged, tweaked, tagged, cut, pasted and turned into a sample.I call this new way of thinking Instant Mash.  It’s spreading like wildfire.  When enough people see the world differently the world will be forced to change.If the viral spread of Instant Mash happened as the result of a drug or a TV show, such a transformation would be a worldwide sensation—but because there’s nothing anyone can point to—no physical substance or string of events—it’s as though it hasn’t really happened.  But it has—with little fanfare a growing pie slice of the population are learning how to be combination DJ chefs of their own reality—simultaneously creating and remixing sweet and sour tracks with the grooves they are given.It is an anti-movement.  An invisible trend occupying unseen millions 24/7. Bright like an eclipse: genre of the black hole.
